CLADOW CENTER
Shopping Center in Kladow
This involves three buildings on three properties which mutually supplement the village center of Kladow and which integrate the area of the church with its village green into the urban planning.
At the Kladower Damm a virtual “Gate” emerges, jointly with the fire department, at the town square of Kladow creating a structural prelude to the historical village green.

small town square is created around the old beech tree which comes
into view in connection with the public park of the historical village green.
> Adjustment to the small-scale structure of the historical town center by shaping
the buildings into single “houses” with proportions typical of the locality
> Integration into the pastoral-rural village atmosphere by design features such as
two-level structures, elevation of the gables and their orientation
toward the town square, saddleback roofs, cantilevered oriels and the choice of
colorful bucolic bricks
