A residential house design with 12 dwelling units has been developed and it has
been produced in wood- as well as in massive construction for research purposes as a
contribution toward the further development of cost- and space efficient building technology.
The residential houses are accessible from the northern side by balconies and open stairways.
Located on this street side are also the baths and kitchens. The living rooms are facing south
toward the garden; and terraces, balconies and oriels bring about an animated garden facade.
The commercial spaces in the residential area of Albrechtshof offer large and small commercial
units at the ground level. The zone along the Potsdamer Chaussee is built in two levels, the
upper level of which is utilized by a hotel; an option for a third level is structurally
permissible.
The commercial spaces accommodate the bordering residences with their design, and they
form the urban “corner” of Potsdamer Chaussee and Storkower Allee.
