EL ABANICO

The sun beats down,
a gentle breeze ascends from the ocean,
the mountain quiets down,
above the rock ledge, seagulls are circling …
A new house – anchored in the mountain and ready to leap.

White cubes sway around the terracotta-colored chimney stack which embodies a steadfast vertical pivot. A flowing central interspace emerges which opens up toward the sea. From cube to cube, a stairway swerves upward.

A curved wall of natural stone, 9 meters high, absorbs the thrust of the mountain and creates a platform for the play of structural elements.

Floating roofs disburse cool shades. Accents of light through slots and crevices are continuously in motion. Suffused by light and air, the entire ensemble is buoyant and agile.
